report from the second day of the 2017 bird season

Posted On: September 2, 2017 BY Mark Walters

We woke up to a drizzle, which was a welcome relief from yesterdays constant pouring-down deluge.  We got to the field around 1pm and the birds were flying strong.  There were only five shooters, so we spread out all over the farm.  We were worried that the birds might not come in because of how wet all the seed was, but we had birds all day.  If you stayed tight and picked your shots, you could get your limit.  We did.

After the shoot, we cleaned all the birds from yesterday and today.
