Between visiting vendors in Scotland, we encountered a rugged landscape and ever changing weather. If there were blue skies, we learned to give it about an hour or two and it would be cool and raining. Definitely Barbour and sweater country. The thatched cottage in the photo is a crofters cottage. These hardy folks built their homes out of whatever was close by, which was stone. It reminds me of the American settlers and their log cabins. This coming autumn D&H will be stocking a crofters jacket made out of waxed buffalo hide. Wait till you see and feel this item…like nothing you have seen before!
