Delamere & Hopkins has worked with one of the finest knitwear companies in Scotland to produce heritage quality Shetland sweaters of the highest standard.
These garments will withstand years of hard use as they are crafted for the harsh climate of the North of Scotland.
The unique quality and handle is created by carefully milling the knits in some of the softest water in Northern Scotland, which is very difficult to replicate. This traditional skill of milling garments is passed from generation to generation, for over 90 years.
Delamere & Hopkins has chosen to have our sweaters made from “super soft”. It is still rugged, but not as scratchy as raw Shetland wool. We have a range of five colors in this sweater. We also have two natural-color sweaters. One has multi natural shades: wools are used from different regions to give a variety of shades of wool to make a unique “all-natural” look. The other natural sweater is a marled greyish color.
Of course we try to take photos that represent the knitwear, but it is nothing like seeing and feeling the sweaters in person. It is not a stretch to say these are some of the finest products we have brought to the Cincinnati market in over 24 years.
